Lee Meredith Chandler focuses on themes that range from displacement to identity to freedom, including the complexities of race, class, addiction and human emotion.
Lee's poems have been published in Writing in a Woman’s Voice and The Chamber.
She is currently working on a poetry memoir entitled "The Root Cellar".
Lee grew up in Maine
where she began writing poems
at age 10, looking for answers to the questions of a child in an adult world.
While poetry did not answer those specific questions, it did give her other answers that have served her now for decades.
