RAM DASS
Lee is inspired by the deeply personal, as it is made universal through poetry and art.
What is personal to her is not only what she has seen, heard and felt in the world, but what she witnesses those around her see, hear and feel.
In her case, growing up in the poverty of often unseen Maine, her themes of displacement are both personal and universal. From identity to freedom, including the complexities of race, class, and addiction, she is fascinated by the lives of human emotion as it permeates and motivates.
